Access should not depend on who you already know
Ability is often already present. Access is uneven. A student choosing a course, a professional changing direction, or someone learning independently may need context that a search result cannot provide.
Members can share an Ask—for Access, Support, or Knowledge—when a lived experience, resource, introduction, opportunity, or someone’s time could help them move forward.
One useful response can travel further
Uncüth plans to bring related Asks together without erasing what makes each situation personal. Partners—beginning with Mentors—can respond where their experience genuinely fits. With the contributor’s approval, useful responses may become clear, attributable knowledge that can help more than one Member.
Verification will begin as an optional, opt-in trust signal—similar to a verified badge on professional or social platforms. Some account types or actions may later require prior approval or verification before they are enabled; the requirement will be explained before information is requested.
A student is a posture, not only an institution
Students are central to the Uncüth story, but membership is not limited to a campus. If you are an adult who is actively learning—on campus, through an open-distance programme, at work, at home, between careers, in a metro, or in a smaller town—there is room for you here.
